INCLUDES: 

• Eight weekly live Zoom meetings
• Recordings of live sessions available for anyone who can't make it live or wants to rewatch
• Ability to ask questions during Q and A sessions at the end of live meetings as time allows (priority will be given to Student Level participants if time is limited) 

PLUS: 

• Up to five minutes of video review each week where the trainer will look at video you submit of your training and give feedback and suggestions for next steps. 
• The ability to request a custom task that you need covered during a live session.
• Optional (no one has to be on camera who doesn't want to be!):
  • Live feedback in real time of you working on a training exercise during a Zoom session. 
  • Video of you and your dog may be used in some of the live classes to show off your progress. (With your express permission, and only the good stuff!)

What to expect: 

This course will cover topics including service dog laws in the US, foundation training, starting service dog task behaviors and public access skills, setting long term goals and what to continue working on when the class is through! (More advanced classes may be offered after this class depending on interest.)

Service dog training on average takes 1-2 years and not every dog is a good fit for the job, so completing this course doesn't guarantee your dog will be a service dog. But it should give you a solid foundation of the skills and behaviors needed, and full students will get personalized feedback and plans to set them on the right course!
