"Can You Fix my Dog?": Determining Prognosis in Behavior CasesApproved for 1 Behavior Consultant CEU through CCPDT, 1 CEU through IAABC and 1 CEU through KPA.
As dog behavior professionals we often get asked, "Can you fix this issue?" It's a loaded question and the answer is almost always, "It depends." In this webinar, Sarah Bond, CDBC, CSAT, CPDT-KSA will tackle the factors to look at to help present a possible prognosis to clients, allowing them to set realistic expectations and make decisions about their dog's future. While we can't ever know for sure what the outcomes will be, the ability to let students know the potential elements working for and against them can be invaluable.

Dogs Aren't Robots (And Neither are You): Letting Go of Perfection in Behavior CasesApproved for 1 Behavior Consultant CEU through CCPDT, 1 CEU through IAABC and 1 CEU through KPA.
Working hands-on with human students who have big expectations, limited resources, and/or are inexperienced handlers can be a challenge. As dog behavior professionals, we want to plan out the details and give both the dog and human the best chance of success. But often we have to let go of some of those details to help students as much as possible with what we have available. Sometimes training success isn't a perfect stay, but just a human and dog living together happily and successfully. In this webinar, Sarah Bond, CDBC, CSAT, CPDT-KSA will provide a perspective on how to reach that goal with less frustration over a lack of perfection.
